Elena Stenkina, born 1989, holds a Master’s Degree in Music, having graduated from the College of Art in Khabarovsk in 2009 and the Musical University of Ippolitova-Ivanovo in Moscow in 2014. Qualifications in Russian and English translation. Further education information.

During her career, Elena has collaborated with major corporations such as Princess Cruises, Carnival Cruises, Liberty Bellows Accordion Shop in the USA, Nagaworld in Cambodia, Glow Show World Events and Omarian Entertainment in India. She has also worked with prominent Russian institutions such as the Grand Moscow State Circus and leading river shipping companies Infoflot and Mosturflot.

Elena Stenkina performances feature her unique blend of music and dance. Throughout her successful career, she has garnered numerous accolades, including a Silver medal at the World Championship of Performing Arts in Hollywood, the Grand Prix at the Vilnius International Folklore Competition and the Golden Time Talent competition.

She has also been honored with the Platinum Prize, Technical Mastery Special Award and Artist Award at the Universal Stars Music Competition, among others.

Elena has also served as a jury member at various competitions worldwide,, including the Squeeze & Thanks Online Accordions Competition (USA), CA Art Planet (Turkey), Stars Of The Alps (Switzerland), World Star (Austria), and Christmas in New York (USA).

Founded in 1991 by an artist named Jim Bini, the Cotati Accordion Festival started as a modest gathering organized by a small group of enthusiasts. Over the years, it has blossomed into an iconic event for accordionists.

Thousands of people gather there to revel in the sounds of accordion and many accordionists worldwide, dream of being invited to perform at the Festival, to showcase their talents and to connect with musicians, gain exposure, and become part of a vibrant and supportive community.

Throughout the festival's 33-year history, it has hosted legendary figures such as Dick Contino, a prodigious accordionist who during his career was nominated for a Grammy Award, became a famous star in the USA and is listed on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Similarly, acclaimed jazz accordionist Art Van Damme, who earned nominations for multiple Grammy Awards, received numerous accolades and was inducted into both the Accordionists and Teachers Guild, International (ATG) Hall of Fame, and the National Accordion Association (NAA) Hall of Fame.

Additionally, contemporary accordionist and composer Guy Klucevsek has earned multiple Grammy Award nominations and received prestigious awards such as the American Academy of Arts and Letters Award.

A world champion accordionist, Cory Pesaturo, is another exceptional talent and he and many other renowned performers such as Great Mograny, Sergei Teleshev, Netta Scog from Finland, and Tracey Collins from New Zealand, Erica Montini, have all graced the prestigious Cotati Festival stage.

In 1923, at Cotati, I performed two shows each day, 2-3 thousand people listened to me, and it was truly magical, very uplifting and motivating for any musician. Some audience told me they follow my music on social media and came here from different cities, especially to hear me perform. I still cherish those warm memories.
